Each student will receive a written evaluation and a certificate of participation. Students will accumulate points based on their individual ratings that go towards trophy awards.  These points are registered in a national database and can apply to Federation Festivals nationwide. \nOur festival includes piano\, vocal\, strings\, and theory events. Events include solo\, duet\, and concerto formats. Theory is a written exam. Other woodwind family instruments may be included if minimum registration numbers are met. \nFees\nStudent fees: $25.00 per student\, per event. Registration fees must be paid by January 15\, 2026. \n\nPlease note:  In order to register students\, the teacher must federate their studio as a Junior Club with the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs by October 20\, 2025.  The Junior Club dues are $35 for up to 16 students\, +$1 for each additional student. However\, the Choice Piece must not be listed in the current Festivals Bulletin. \nFull repertoire requirements and guidelines can be found in the 2024-2028 Federation Festivals Bulletin available for purchase from NFMC at:  www.nfmc-music.org/order-federation-festivals-bulletin/. \n\n\nTeacher Guidelines\n\nTeachers with registered students are required be available on the dates of the Spring Festival to act as judges or fulfill other work assignments. \nAll teachers are expected to read and agree to follow the terms listed in the Falls Church Spring Festival Teacher Manual.  Available upon request. \n\nQuestions?\nContact chair@novaspfestival.org for further information.
