Spring Festival (NFMC)
Event Details The Falls Church Spring Festival is an annual, non-competitive event that provides students of all levels an opportunity to perform and receive constructive feedback. Each student will receive a written evaluation and a certificate of participation. Students will accumulate points based on their individual ratings that go towards trophy awards. Our festival includes piano, vocal, strings, and theory events. Events include solo, duet, and concerto formats. Theory is a written exam. Other woodwind family instruments are included if minimum registration numbers are met. This year’s Spring Festival will be held on Friday March 14th and Saturday March 15, 2025 at Luther Jackson Middle School. Fees Student fees: $25.00 per student, per event. State dues: Teachers must federate their students by paying state dues to VFMC. State dues are $35 for up to 16 students, +$1 for each additional student. There is a $50 individual teacher fee for non-NVMTA members. Repertoire requirements and guidelines can be found in the 2024-2028 Federation Festivals Bulletin. Contact chair@novaspfestival.org for information on bulletins. Repertoire Requirements Most events require two memorized pieces. (Memorization is not required for adults.)
