About Christ the Servant
Christ the Servant is a faith community where ALL people can discover a place to belong and are invited to participate in the kingdom of God! We are a small yet growing community situated in the heart of the Hunters Woods Plaza in Reston, VA. The church is uniquely positioned next to the Reston Community
Center and partners with the local government, neighborhoods, surrounding businesses, and other local non-profits to serve a growing population of unhoused individuals. The church consists of people who are life-long Lutherans, young adults, unchurched, come from other denominational backgrounds, and people dipping their toes in just to see. While we enjoy traditional Lutheran worship, we are open and eager to experiment with different worship and music styles. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2025, we are imagining new ways of being in community, doing church, and caring for God’s kingdom. It is an exciting season to be the Church as we seek a new member of our team to help us dream big dreams and live out God’s call!
