Studio Horowitz in Falls Church seeks a piano teacher to join our studio for the 2025-26 school year and beyond. We also are interested in short-term substitute and guest teachers.
We feature highly supported independent teaching in a beautiful piano-only studio. Workshop (Performance) classes and recitals for your students. Huge studio library. Home-like environment. Acoustic grand pianos in every teaching studio and near-unlimited access to our studio for practice and rehearsing.
Level and dependable pay per-student-per-month (not by the day or hour). 10-month school year with optional work in the summer. For teachers with good student retention who choose to stay with us, pay will rise to $70/hr++. Starting pay in the first year averages to approximately $47/hr. Higher starting pay/incentives are possible for established teachers bringing students with them.
Prior teaching experience and a degree in music with a focus on piano performance or pedagogy are required. Graduating students and current grad students are warmly welcome. Jazz experience, early childhood, and/or group teaching experience are all nice, but not required. Experience with traditional piano pedagogy is essential.
